  • Can I schedule a school visit before an admission?
    All families considering admission to NWS are strongly encouraged to visit the School. These can be booked online or through the Front Desk. ​ A typical visit consists of a talk with a member of the admission staff, a tour of the campus with a teacher or wing head, and a family conference at which the staff member answers questions about the School, to convey a sense of how NWS will fit into their school search.
  • When does a student get the option to choose between CBSE and Cambridge curriculum?
    Students can choose between CBSE and Cambridge curriculum in grade One. Parents of students enrolled at Healthy Planet in KG are invited to an orientation regarding the curriculums in the month of July of the previous year and make a choice.
  • What transport facilities are available?
    All vehicles used for student transport are owned and run by Nehru World School directly and always have a female attendant on board. They are fitted with CCTV cameras, GPS and all safety parameters required specifically for school buses. All staff on the buses are employees of Nehru World School. We don’t have any contract buses. We have two types of transports: Traveller: They provide home pick and drop. Buses: They pick and drop students from bus-stops nearby.
  • Which languages do students learn apart from English and Hindi?
    From Grade 6, students also learn German. It is compulsory for three years and in Grade 9, students choose between Hindi and German for the Grade 10 Board Examination.
  • How is a student supported if they join in Grade 7 and did not learn German in Grade 6?
    Special intensive support classes are held for them so that they learn the basics quickly and access the Grade 7 course confidently.
  • What is the teacher-student ratio in class?
    From playgroup to grade 2, we maintain 2 teachers in every classroom with helpers whenever needed. The teacher/student ratio is: ​ 1:4 in Playgroup 1:8 in Pre-Nursery 1:14 in Nursery and KG From Grade 1 a student gets a choice between CBSE and Cambridge Board with varying ratios. In Cambridge the class size never goes above 26 while in CBSE it does not exceed 38.
