Creo 2018 Day 1

NWS, Ghaziabad cherishes the youngsters and encourages them to explore their true potentials by awakening their passions and cultivating their talents. As a step forward in this direction, NWS organized its sixth Inter School Festival – ‘CREÒ - 2018’ for contributing to innovation and solidarity and to enhance the spirit of novelty, creativity and brotherhood. This year the 3 day event-‘CREÒ-2018’ started on 16th August 2018. The grandeur event started in the benign presence of Arunabh Singh-Director NWS, Susan Holmes- Head Teacher NWS and the esteemed judges of various events, teacher in charges and participants from various schools.

The festival has more than 1600 participants from 38 schools to take part in 27 competitive and non-competitive events in the fields of Photography, Art and Craft, Dance, Public Speaking, Environment and Technology, Performing Arts, Literature and Theatre.

The Head Teacher, NWS in her welcome note stated that “The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create people who are capable of doing new things.” She also emphasised that “It is better to create than to learn! Creating is the essence of life, in the course of the CREÒ 2018 festival, participants will have the opportunity to further develop the skills and attributes that they possess, including creativity, communication and collaboration.”

The first day of the event began with a lot of gusto on 16th August 2018 in which around 400 Pre-primary participants across 30 schools from NCR contributed in the event. To name a few schools, A.K. Children Academy, Ahlcon International School, Amity International School Sec-6, Vasundhara, Brightland School, Ch. Chhabil Dass Public School, Dehradun Public School, DPSG, DPS Siddharth Vihar, DLF Public School, JKG International School, New Era School, New Rainbow Public School, Renaissance School, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Silver Bells School, Silver Line Prestige School, St. Thomas School, Sun Valley International School, Mount Litera Zee, Lotus Valley international, Mayur School Noida, Sapphire International, Bal Bharti Public School, Rosebell Public School, St. Xavier’s High School, GD Goenka, Gurukul. The participating schools contributed whole heartedly to Dancing Superstars, Clay Modelling, Shape O’ Magic, Just a Minute, Tearing and Pasting, Once upon a time, Math Mania to display an array of talents and skills.

Arunabh Singh (Director, NWS) said that this event has a distinct culture in the cradle of which promising children are progressively acquiring good traits, habits and education. The aim of the event is to create a free and healthy atmosphere to inculcate the spirit of nationalism, brotherhood, a sense of discipline, gentle manners and refined tastes. Efforts are being put in to galvanize the hidden talents of students, build their confidence and create awareness so that when they grow up they may be ready to face the competitive world.

To appreciate the efforts of the participants, NWS being the host, maintained the spirit of participation and winning and the positions that the students of our School achieved in the events were shared.
