Nehru World School organized its 39th Annual Production on 13th May’17 for classes IV and V (CBSE), to commemorate and rejoice the learning of the students. The event started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Mr. Arunabh Singh (Director, NWS) along with the grandparents, to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
The event had already engraved its success prior to the show by sending an online video invite to its audience. The event commenced with a great fervor and zeal showcasing the flair of students in their skill of music, art and theatre. The Annual Report read by the students, highlighted the achievements of the School and its pupils. This was followed by the play ‘Kissa-e Akbar Birbal’ depicting the wit, wisdom and camaraderie of Akbar the Great and his beloved minister Birbal. During Akbar's reign, local folk tales emerged involving his interactions with Birbal, portraying him as being extremely clever and witty. His wit and wisdom continue to inspire the generations even today and the annual production was an excellent platform to introduce our students to these stories.
The wonderful diction, fluency, theatrical skills, confidence, coordination and performance on the invigorating songs left the audience spell-bound. The event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Arunabh Singh who acknowledged the efforts put in by the teachers and the students for such an enthralling show. He praised the high-spirited efforts and confidence of the students motivating them to be more responsible and foresighted members of the society.
