One of the most comprehensive educational facilities in the city

Nehru World School is spread over a campus of about two acres and possesses a three storied building which houses the senior classes and the administrative block, along with a large auditorium at the lower ground level. In addition, a separate two storey building provides classrooms for the primary and middle school wings. Also housed within this building are the various science laboratories.

Indoor Facilities

All classrooms and staffrooms of the School are equipped with Air Conditioners to maintain ambient temperature at all times. The junior and senior blocks are built around a large playground and open assembly place with two national level basketball courts. In addition to regular classroom space for up to 1200 students (Play Group to Grade 12), the buildings include five science laboratories, three computer laboratories, visual art and music studios, 2 Audio Visual Rooms, a state-of-the-art facility for videoconferencing and a well stocked library.

The Pre-Primary and Primary wing of Nehru World School are Multiple Intelligence(s) enabled and housed within the School is a MI Resource Centre equipped with Teaching Aids to encourage holistic development.

Outdoor Facilities

Our large, modern campus allows students to take full advantage of their academic and co-curricular goals. Open common areas and spacious athletic fields encourage students to socialize and take part in recreational activities. The School has a Shallow Pool for students up to 6 years of age. Alongside, a separate area with slides and other play equipment made with high grade non toxic plastic is provided near the pre-primary wing. The roof of the primary building has a terraced garden in form of an amphitheatre attached to it.

Technological Facilities

Information Technology is an indispensable tool in education and NWS is committed to effective use of technology in the regular classroom. All classrooms are connected to our intra school network and also have broadband access. In addition to regular computer labs, laptops are also available for classroom use. Teachers can use computer projection systems to make their lessons more visually stimulating.

Security

Nehru World School is safe, yet welcoming. All visitors are required to register with the security guard before entering the main buildings of the School. Multi-Level security systems are employed within and outside the School buildings to create a safe environment for  our students. Strict security procedures are followed in case children are picked up from the school during school hours.
